There are some people that simply inspire you, or act as a muse to fuel your creative energies. I've met only three people in my life that do so constantly, and this piece is inspired by one of those three. The text is from a friend named Zach, who creates wonderfully descriptive stories that give me so much imagery, its hard not to come up with an image. So, this one was for him! Woo!

More testing with Painter 7. One of the first finished Painter images i've come up with. A recurring character as seen in Threnody and Veil.

This was done as a commission for a rather...interesting fellow. His request was for me to draw my image of him. Alot of effort and an unusual amount of time went into it. I wanted to make clear my negative feelings toward this individual, and was encouraged to try some new things in the process. There are some things I am not satisfied with, like the positioning of the seated figures foot and all, but it turned out 'ok'.
Tomorrow Comes (Donated)

This piece was created as a gift for my manager at Arigato Japanese Steakhouse, out of a whim. It is now hanging inside the restraunt. Unfortunately, I forgot to spray fix it ...I should probably do that some time, eh?
Sometimes (alot of the times) CGing is a big wad of horse dookie. I prefer traditional media..unfortunately, its necassary to learn how to CG now.

This lifesaver was actually done as a last minute, rushed assignment that I had forgotten to do the night before, for AP Portfolio 2-D class in senior year. This is why I like doing quick, spur of the moment pieces. I usually tend to enjoy the finished product better. I adore the free flowing look. I cannot stand photo-realistic paintings and pieces. They bore me. That is what a camera is for..and often times skilled photographers can make their photos look more interesting then alot of photo-realistic pieces. Unfortunately, much of the populace only view anything as 'art' if it is photo realistic, or if its Titianist - alot of you artists and/or art history nerds should know what I mean by that. Bah on Titian. BAH!

This was one of my favorite pieces of '04, I recall. Now, not so much..I see PLENTY I could change to improve this image. Though, like alot of my more favored pieces, it was done on a whim with little planning. Just a response to emotion, and feeding off the imagery music creates in my head. The line written on the left panel is from the song by Dandy Warhols, though I'm sorry to say I don't recall the title. The two panels are a result of it being a sketchbook piece.

What I consider one of my most successful pieces in '05. This one has won its fair share of awards, been featured in 3 gallery shows (unfortunately, not my solo gallery show at The Arts Center; didnt go with the theme.) and was my first stencil experimentation. It was a project in our senior print class to make our own stencil and create a piece from it. I decided to illustrate a stencil figure of myself in different points of the day. Morning, noon, and night. This piece was donated to the Pinellas County Center for the Arts

I enjoy playing with new brushes and filters, and this is the first successful (well, at least I think so) border I made for an image without it looking terribly trashy or cheap. I think the spirals in the border really help the designs in the cloth flow together, along with the movement in the hair. Most of this image was made on experiment and accident, but it turned out well enough that i'm satisfied with showing it. Violet eyes rock.

This one came from a friends away message on AIM, a piece by Stephen Crane entitled The Heart. Started as a doodle and ended as this. Not much more to it.
